A big part of studying Islam is learning the Arabic language.  This is hard for non native speakers.  (Okay, I really am still having issues trying to read backwords)

Perhaps we should have a forum that would help the native speakers teach arabic to the non native speakers.  We could also ask grammar questions there.

There are alot of sites that teach arabic, but so many of the good ones cost money.

Any other suggestions?

Salaamu Alaykum, Happy Ramadan, Ramadan Mubarik,

Moowafik, I agree.

"That would be a good idea, a very good idea, indeed" - Gandhi had said when an English journalist had asked him what he thought about the British civilisation.

He was being terribly cheeky. I am not. It's a strange, beautiful, vast lingo. It has 400 or so expressions for the sword, about 700 odd for the horse and a 1001 for the camel. It's fun to know a thousand words for the camel, for instance, when the 1001st springs up!

After using it for almost thirty years even I will join you in really learning it.

Assalaamu alaikum, Ramadan mubarak:

I agree here, one can never practice Arabic enough. Sister Angela, I suggest you learn some Spanish as well. certain words, such as "sed" are arabic in origin (it is spanish for thirst) Ojala que esta bien! (Inshallah, it will be good!)

"Every good deed is charity whether you come to your brother's assistance or just greet him with a smile.
