Mother decided that 10-year-old Susie should get
something 'practical' for her birthday. "Suppose we open a savings account for you?" mother suggested. Susie was delighted. "It's your account, darling," mother said as they arrived at the bank, "so you fill out the application." Susie was doing fine until she came to the space for 'Name of your former bank.' After a slight hesitation, she put down 'Piggy.' |

Nice story Angel. I think in kids in isarael will write "cow" and kids in arab will write "camel"... he..he.. because pig is not "halal". At least I know in one muslim country they use "rooster" as "piggy bank".

Oh, that is something I never thought about. Of course, I also don't see a Muslim child opening a "savings" account with a regular bank because of riba. |

I have a bank account, but where can I find an Islamic bank in Canada? we have no choice, maybe I can donate the "interest" at end of the year... comes out to be $4/year.. big money... |

Good point but I'm sure its only the eating that is not halal I think it's kinda cute to have a cow or a camel or rooster

i think it is also not halal to keep them as pets.....as i cant provide any evidence in support....so i say that this is my opinion....
