If we want to find the description that humans can not be in the presence of God, due to our sinful nature, we will have to read the whole Bible.

Every book says that God in His full glory can not be in the presence of the sinful nature of our decaying bodies. Even when Moses was in the presence of God’s full glory, he was not allowed to look at God’s front, or he would have been burned and destroyed by Gods presence. Something that did not happen with Adam when he still had his sinless body.

Here are the examples:

The father (YHWH) or God’s glory said to Moses:

Exodus 33:20 But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”

When God was amongst Israel and spoke to Israel in person, they were terrified of God’s power. They knew His Glory was devastating to their presence. They also knew that the Glory of God who entered the Tabernacle was a terrible danger, and only the cleansed priests of the tribe of Levi, covered with sacrificial blood, was allowed to serve around His presence. Anyone not cleansed and having sacrificial blood on their forehead, will die!

Deuteronomy 5:25, Deuteronomy 18:16, Numbers 17:12-13, Numbers 18:22, Numbers 1:51, Numbers 3:10

The instructions are very clear on this, the Levite priests will perform the rituals, to atone for Israel’s sinful nature, whilst God is amongst them:

Numbers 3:38 Now those who were to camp before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrise, are Moses and Aaron and his sons, performing the duties of the sanctuary for the obligation of the sons of Israel; but the layman coming near was to be put to death.

Numbers 18:7, Numbers 8:19 I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the sons of Israel, to perform the service of the sons of Israel at the tent of meeting and to make atonement on behalf of the sons of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the sons of Israel by their coming near to the sanctuary.”

Even the non-Israelites (Elkronites) knew the devastating nature of God in the presence of sinful human bodies.

1 Samuel 5:10 So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And as the ark of God came to Ekron the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel around to us, to kill us

Exodus 19:21, Exodus 20:19, Exodus 28:35, Exodus 28:43, Exodus 30:20 Exodus 30:21, Leviticus 10:6.

Leviticus 10:7 You shall not even go out from the doorway of the tent of meeting, or you will die; for the Lord’s anointing oil is upon you.” So they did according to the word of Moses.

Leviticus 15:31 Leviticus 22:9  They shall therefore keep My charge, so that they will not bear sin because of it and die thereby because they profane it; I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Leviticus 16:2 The Lord said to Moses:“Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die; for I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat.

Leviticus 16:13 He shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the ark of the testimony, otherwise he will die.

Numbers 4:15 When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, so that they will not touch the holy objects and die. These are the things in the tent of meeting which the sons of Kohath are to carry.

Numbers 4:18-20 “Do not let the tribe of the families of the Kohathites be cut off from among the Levites. But do this to them that they may live and not die when they approach the most holy objects: Aaron and his sons shall go in and assign each of them to his work and to his load; but they shall not go in to see the holy objects even for a moment, or they will die.”

Numbers 18:3 And they shall thus attend to your obligation and the obligation of all the tent, but they shall not come near to the furnishings of the sanctuary and the altar, or both they and you will die.

Numbers 18:32 You will bear no sin by reason of it when you have offered the best of it. But you shall not profane the sacred gifts of the sons of Israel, or you will die.’”

Well, some people thought it wise to look into the ark when 70 men decided to open it to reveal the Glory of God (YHWH) to 50 000 people.

1 Sam 6:19Then He struck the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. He struck fifty thousand and seventy men of the people, and the people lamented because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.

Even Uzzah, who knew the laws on how the ark should be treated, because the ark was kept by his family, thought he was worthy to touch it not being a Levite priest, and was not cleansed and covered with ritual sacrificial blood. 2 Sam 1: 6-7, and 1 Chronicles 13: 1-12

If you say you are not a sinner, you make Jesus a liar, for His death was the sacrificial blood to cover our sinful nature.

1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Thats why God stopped even Moses to look at the full Glory of God on mount Horeb.
A human body that can die, is a sinfull body, and will simply burn up in God's presence.

We are mortals, and we are slowly dying every day as we age from birth to old age.

This was why Jesus came in the form of a man, to be born as a baby, to grow up as a boy, to die like a human man.
He then visited the domain of death, where he preached the Gospel (good News) that He will ressurect Himself to a body that will again be immortal, such as Adam had before he lost his mortality.
And He did rise from the dead, and he did get immortal glory (a new body that does not age) and He therefore DESTROYED DEATH!

I am not scared of death anymore, because Jesus showed that death is only a change of destiny!
Before Jesus died and rose, Death was the destructive tool Satan had over God because, this was his way to remove Man from God's face!

You see, God did not make man to be his slaves, but His FRIEND!
Hi..Job the Old,
You said; "Now, no sinner and sin can be in the presence of God."

May I know who say that? God or Jesus?
If all human sins will be paid for by Jesus, why don't all humans do evil?
Then who was the first person to come up with the doctrine of atonement?
Thank you.
