Some None-Muslims are of the opinion that when the holy Prophet PBUH got married to the mother of the faithful believers Aisha Siddiqah R.A., then she was only a nine years old child and she used to play with dolls at that time. And the holy Prophet PBUH due to this, became a child rapist and not legally married to her?

 This is the serious allegation leveled on the holy Prophet PBUH that has created a painful situation for every Muslim.

Was it not proper here to say instead that “whether there is someone (Muslim) who can clarify this allegation?”

So, the aim of this article is to make clear that which is the accurate and at least age of puberty of girls counted in the modern age? For this purpose, I shall quote here from the authentic websites relating to this article.

It says: -

“Puberty is the time in life when a boy or girl becomes sexually mature. It is a process that usually happens between ages 10 and 14 for girls and ages 12 and 16 for boys. It causes physical changes, and affects boys and girls differently”.

It says: - “Usually, puberty starts between ages 8 and 13 in girls and ages 9 and 15 in boys. This wide range in ages may help explain why some of your friends still look like young kids whereas others look more like adults”.

It says: “Puberty usually starts sometime between age 7 and 13 in girls and 9 and 15 in guys. Some people start puberty a bit earlier or later, though. Each person is a little different, so everyone starts and goes through puberty on his or her body's own schedule. This is one of the reasons why some of your friends might still look like kids, whereas others look more like adults.”

So, these quotes make it clear that the starting age of puberty in girls is at least 7 to 10, 8 to 13 or 10 to 12 years old according to the modern research. And this is often witnessed in the western countries that the girls who read in the co-Education schools, become pregnant with sexual intercourse by their roommate boys only in the age of 8 years and so on.

So, the question is, whether this standard of puberty by age in girls as mentioned above, is right and lawful only in this age or it was the same in the time of the holy Prophet PBUH?

 Surely, this is the exact age of puberty in girls from centuries and according to it, He PBUH was a legal husband of the mother of the faithful beliers Aisha Siddeqah R.A., and was not a child rapist.

And this is not an authentic argument to prove that the mother of the faith Aisha R.A. was an immature child girl, because she used to play by dolls. May Allah Almighty grant us the true guidance, amin.
