As_Salaam alaikum,

"And remember your Lord by your tongue
and within yourself, humbly and in awe/reverence,
without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings,
and be not among the neglectful." (7:205)...Surat A'araf

"He who remembers his Lord and he who does not
remember his Lord are like the living and the dead." (Bukhari)

The body is a system that needs Nourishment in every respect, the comparison between the living and the dead in above Hadith is made because the soul receives tremendous Nourishment during Zikr, while the heedless person goes deeper into loss without replenishing himself... that is why we pray 5 times a day. This is the minimum the body requires to maintain our standard of morality.
