As-Salaam alaikum,
In ayat 5 of Surat Ta-Ha of the Holy Qur'an (20:5), we read it where Allah Ta'ala says:--

   "(Allah) Most Gracious
Is firmly established on the Throne (of authority)."

Allahu !! Never can the throne carry Him, rather the Throne and the Throne-Bearers are carried up by the subtlety of His infinite might, and all are powerless in His grip.

Abu Hanifa, may Allah be Merciful to him, observed that "Allah established Himself over the throne without His need over settlement upon it, for it is He who preserves the Throne and other than it without needing any of them."

And Imam Abu Hassan al-Ash'ari (873-935) also on this matter, said that "Allah established Himself over the Throne in the sense that He said and the meaning that He wills; with an establishment that transcends touch, settlement, location, immanence and displacement. The Throne does not carry Him, rather the throne and its carriers are carried by the subtleness of His power, subdued under His grip."
                  (Al-Ash'ari, al-Ibna 'an Usul al-Diyana, Mahmud ed. P.21).
