The Catholic Church is once again in the news with allegations and accusations of those who were sexually abused and molested by priests when they were growing up. Church authorities instead of doing anything about the matter, acted to provide cover up.

I have long felt that this is exactly what happens when the needs of the flesh are denied. This brings in the beauty of the Islamic faith, which recognizes the human need and desire for marriage and procreation. Unlike Christianity, Islam does not feel that in order to serve the Lord, one has to forsake marriage.

I also like Islam's pro marriage and pro family stance. Islam teaches us that Allah created both men and women for one another and encourages men and women to take one another in marriage. However, the Christian Bible does exhort to "be fruitful and multiply."

In the end, I hope the Catholic Church will wake up to the fact that God did not intend a life of celibacy for anybody.

As far as abuse in the Catholic Churchis concerned it can happen to any other religious groups including Islam. Furthermore the Bible allows marriage for those who feel they cannot control their desires, it is better to get married then to be wild with passion as spoken by Apostle Paul in Corinthians. Also the Catholic Church besides Pope Francis haven’t been covering up Eastern Catholicism allows marriage in its clergy so does Eastern Orthodoxy, also for the real nature of the abuse in the Catholic Church see these links:

As for the supposed “cover ups,” many times, the families begged the bishops to keep things quiet because they didn't want the shame of their families being in the news. Also, if you'll notice the details of what's being reported, the vast majority of these cases occurred 20, 30, or 40 years ago or more. There was a time when psychologists/psychiatrists said that this problem was "treatable" and that those afflicted could be sent for therapy/treatment and "cured." Well, the bishops followed this advice, and when the priest was sent back, declared "cured," he was put back in parish ministry, only to fall into the same sin again. These days, the psychologists/psychiatrists say it is incurable. Don’t get your sources from the media.
