As-salamu alaykum everyone :) ... I am a (relatively) recent convert to Islam and brand new to this forum so I will probably make a million mistakes in this post , apologies to everyone :(
I don't want to turn this into a "pity me" kind of story but... basically I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder. When you combine that with the waswas problems I've been having.. it gets pretty bad :( .... This website gives some more insight into OCD and Islam if anyone's interested But there was another website that was so, SO helpful and provided great comfort to me as well :) I searched google looking for some way to contact the author of the second website above, Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al-Munajjid, to thank him.. with no success, couldn't find any way to contact him. I tried again recently and came across this recent story which made me very sad :( Wikipedia says he's said some things people find controversial.. I don't know the man or what he's said well enough to even be able to form an opinion on the stuff mentioned on Wikipedia as far as the controversies mentioned... all I know is that his web article was an enormous help to me during my time of need and now he's apparently in jail :( Whether or not anyone wants to join me in making a dua for him during this difficult time is of course up to you that goes without saying :) ... But I thought I might bring it to people's attention in case nobody knows (for all I know all of you know what happened to him already -again, relatively new convert and newcomer to the forum here :) ). Thanks to anyone who reads this :) ... and apologies for any controversy I may inadvertently stir up simply by posting this :( ...

Why make dua for someone who condones murder of apostates and violence against non Muslims, have you even read his website? This man got what he rightfully deserved after his many years of spreading hate in the name of a god.
