Can we recoginze our mention in Quran?

Quran in 21:10 says  لَقَدْ �£َنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ �£َفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Without doubt, We revealed to you a BOOK, in it you are mentioned, so will you not then understand (use your intellect)

Can we recognize ourselves in Quran? The problem is that when we see stern warnings in Quran we divert these to other groups and when ever we hear glad tidings we direct it to us.
