Suicide is one of the bigest sins in Islam. The grossest sins. . There is no such thing of forgeting the Qur'an from memorization go to hell. That might consider sin if your forget to implement (not from meorization) or ignore the quranic teaching in your life, do bad things such as cheating, lying, fornication etc. Muslim never give up, try and try agian. Salaams Faai and welcome. Is your friend able to relocate himself to a place where he won't be subjected to harmful criticisms? I would also suggest securing professional help since he has mentioned harming himself.

W.Salam Abuayisha, my friend's relative criticize him. where he can go now. Only his parents are happy with his beard but his uncle and other relatives don't like it. Also in school, teachers also make fun of him.

He will not go to Hell because he forget his memorisation he will go to hell if he commits suicide tho. In the same way If you memorise the Quran and don't pray you will enter hell and if you are a good Muslim and pray but don't memorise the entire Quran Insha'allah you will enter Jannah the ignorance of the Muslims is terrible. The memorisation of the Quran only adds benefits to you and your family and friends in Jannah if you were already practising Islam also Insha'allah if he makes intention of becoming a Hafiz and dies with this intention in Jannah he will be a full Hafiz Insha'allah these beliefs were spread by a corrupt version of Tasawwuf tell him to consult with the Ulama
