Is the unicorn in the Qu'ran or hadiths?

Greetings to all.

Is there any mention of the unicorn (or karkadann, re'em) within the Qu'ran or hadiths? I ask because I have seen the unicorn (as the karkadann) referenced in the works of various notable figures of the Islamic world in previous centuries, including: Zakariya al-Qawzini, Ibn Battuta, and Abu Rayhan al-Biruni. Also, in the Old Testament of the Bible, there are nine references to the unicorn (or re'em).
