Each tafsir that is quoted says something else. Perhaps I misunderstood the verse and it doesn't say that people came to Abraham from every location in the world, and riding on every mounted animal. Perhaps "every location here and far" refers to every location around Mecca, and "every camel" refers to every available mount, and Abraham announced the pilgrimage to only the Arabs. If that is the case, there is no error and I take back my assertion of a mistake in the verse. It would however be an interesting question as to why when God appointed "the First House of Worship" for humanity, the only ones who knew about it for some 2,000 years if not more were the Arabs, but I guess that was God's choice. Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-'Alamin (mankind and jinn). http://searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php?chapter=3&translator=5#96 Nice discussing with you, take care. |
