My point exactly....there's not point in arguing whether they get the bomb or not. I'm tired of those messing in the affairs of other countries. Kim Jong Il....he scares me. But, that's because the man is certifibly insane. Not just a radical leader like the Iranian president. The Iranian President is trying to look strong and decisive to the world. But wait till his people are dying from the testing fallout. Perhaps he should visit some of the desert towns that were downwide of the Trinity blast. Let him have his bomb. It will cost him more than he thinks. |

They will still be viewed with the same eyes, if only people will worry a little more. Angela, a few years ago many people would have bothered about with what eye the US views anyone. Today, it really doesn't matter. We welcome them to view us as badly as poss. |

I was in the case I was making using the US as an example. I could have easily said India or Israel. Both nuclear powers, or France, Russia or England. Iran doesn't "need" nuclear weapons. Having a nuclear bomb is just having a security blanket. Wave it around, think your important because you have one. Threaten to use it, but realize very quickly that you can't. Having the bomb won't change Iran's status. They will still be viewed with the same eyes, if only people will worry a little more. If Iran gets a bomb, I personally am not worried. Its not like they can use it without reprisal. The only ones I'm worried about getting ahold of nuclear weapons are terrorist cells (do not immediately assume I mean al-Qaida). But small separatist movements, guerillas and rebels who think that The Bomb will help them win their war, who have no government to answer to and no courts to sanction them. I'm not going to worry if Iran is a nuclear power. Their president/prime minister/current mouth piece, just keeps inserting his foot into his mouth with each passing week. Meanwhile, the people on the street in Iran don't necessarily feel the exact same way. If Iran wants power, then they should focus on things the world needs. Pharmacuticals, Electronics (computers) and scientific research. To quote my favorite little green sage. War does not make one Great. |

No Muslim country would be stupid enough to attack the US with Nuclear weapons....when the retaliation would wipe out their entire nation. MAD It has nothing to do with attacking America. Promise, I thought you knew that "attacking the US" is a mere figment of our Washington Vultures' (Hawk is a misnomer. Hawk is an extremely dignified bird) imagination. A mere recipe for whipping up Patriotism, hysteria and other such ailments. The Muslims are just keen to keep the big bad wolf and its side-kick away. And, time has shown that the US has never attacked a country with even a slight semblance of strength. US have only ever bombed the bombed out. They have invaded the starved with crippling sanctions. Attacked the poor Cubanos with some one of the most exposed pretext. Or they have landed amongst the meagre Philipinos to Christianise them as gaad told one previous divine Presidento of the Promised Land before he went to bed. My friend, just be honest and tell me what the Muslims should attack you for? If you really tried to find out in earnest who had attacked you a while earlier you will hold a different view.
