Salam aleikum everyone!

I have a big problem and really need advice from people who have knowledge or have experienced something similar to what I have..

i keep seeing nightmares from time to time that I am possessed by jinn. I'm lying in bed and can't get up, some force is keeping me on my bed. I'm trying to pray in my dream in my head, trying to say words out loud but something is not letting me. all these dreams are very similar but yesterday I had one even worse because I saw myself in the mirror while having that evil in me. I looked horrible, pure evil in my face. I was realising what was going on so I tried to pray again. The more I was trying the angrier that thing got in me trying to break the mirror, fighting. But I was stubborn trying to say the words of the prayer and finally I managed. The moment I said them I woke up. Kind of screaming in the middle of the night. It always ends up this way.

Does anyone know if it means anything?? It is so scary..

I live on my own. I split up with my husband who cheated on me. I've found out in the most disgusting way and he tried to convince me that he was possessed by jinn, even tried to find a sheikh to help him but with no results. Few times when I asked him to swear on Quran that he won't do it again (he was a very religious person or probably just tried to show himself like that in front of me when we just met) and every time he'd put his hand on Quran and start talking something weird would start happening to him. He behaved like he was possessed crashing things around, almost hit me, his face and eyes got crazy as I started praying and he was begging me to stop. Most probably he just acted because later I found out that he cheated again and again.
Could that be a result of my dreams? Please help me because if these nightmares won't stop I will go crazy:(

Salam,

Dream just a dream. Don't think about it too much.
However there a good habit that you can before you sleep, like read some surah in the qur'an that you memorize, read salawat, dzikr etc till you sleep. By doing this you will get 2 benefits, first you get reward from Allah for the reading, and secondly Insha Allah you can sleep pecefully.
Salam/Peace,

Semar

Latifachka, assalamu alaikum! Not being able to move or speak during stages of sleep is a common condition known as sleep paralysis. It usually happens when we are not getting enough sleep or under a lot of stress. Provided you are not overtly irreligious and an evil person, I believe you have little to worry about jinn possession. With regards to your bad dreams you are to simply seek Allah's protection, and do not convey to others your bad dreams. Also, you can recite Qur'an prior to sleep at night, and specifically ayat al-kursi (2:255). Lastly, a good balanced diet and exercise is very helpful. We ask Allah to bless you with good in this life and the next.
