Nuffin Nuffin Nuffin
Nuffin nuffin nuffin
Rhymes with muffin
But nuffin nuffin nuffin
Rhymes with 'orange'
Could it be
That a cup of tea
Is not as good with an orange
As a muffin?

Planes
Planes - metal with brains
Gliding, sliding
People riding
People hiding
People dying

A response
Englishmen - people without brains
Gliding, sliding
People riding
People hiding
People dying

Bananas?
She asks if I want another...
Another banana, that is
I say 'No'.
'I've had one today'.
She says 'So you can't have another?'
I say 'I can't'
'No'.

I Can't Sleep
I can't get to sleep!
Why can't I sleep!?
I want to sleep!
Wait I can't sleep, because I'm outside and it's snowing.
My freaking BAD!!!
Now I can sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
Sleep.
G'Night.
Peace Signs, homie!
If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Divine things must be loved to be known."

Love commands the universe. Man only resorts to control when love is missing."

"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."

By perseverance the snail reached the Ark."

"What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it."

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."

"To be young, really young, takes a very long time."

"Never look down on a person unless you are picking them up."

"Even when you fall on your face, you are still moving forward."

authors unknown...

When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy. Rumi

Oh Allah

Some say you are out there....

Some say you are in here... (I point to my heart)

Some say you are here... (I point to my Head)

Allah you are in all things.

Leave none of us in dispair.

Be with us and comfort us.

Guide us well.

Anne Marie

Judgement day passes in the moment we decide something needs attention & we take positive action. Then there will be a great sorting out of people into groups, Inspired by Surah 99 Ayat 1-8

This is similar to the "Instant Lesson" a zen story on page 2.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil: it is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good: it is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: Which wolf wins?? The old Cherokee simply replied, The one you feed.

Suleuyman: Your sock. Link to source is
socks.php">Muslim Wake-Up.

By Jawad Ali

There are beautiful women in my masjid
Sometimes I am distracted by their beauty
But not often
Last time I was distracted by the socks of the brother in front of me
They looked new
I probably would have noticed them even more
Had they been raggedy and worn out
Or by his naked feet
If he had no socks at all
His calloused skin, and pinky toes
What is the Ummah going to do about this man
And the distractions that he causes?
A new architecture
A few more jinns
A shoji screen
Send him home
My demands
My focus, my needs, my concentration
Shaitan is out there
Never inside of me
The softness of the carpet
The pattern on his sock
The gesture of the imam
The beauty of his words
The plainness of his voice
All works of the devil
Keep your women covered
And securely in the back
There is a weak man in the house
It is all your fault

Poetry is good. The Prophet himself enjoyed listening to it at times. But of course, it's the content that counts, right?
