Well, you picked a poor time to do so....she was just asking nicely. If you have a problem with a past grief, I suggest you work it out with her instead of fostering more hard feelings. Sister Khadija is a good woman and very nice, I'm sure if you talk to her, things can be worked out, but in this case, I'm sorry, but you were in the wrong.

I disagree look at what she sees as a basis of telling me that i should take it somewhere else. "this is not a debate about the obligatory nature of wearing a beard. If you would like to discuss that, I beseech you to start another thread." This was not what i was debating at all, nor did i wish to debate it. I said what i had to say and was done, no need for this irrelevant comment. |

She basically implies wearing a beard is obligatory and then tells ME to discuss it in another thread? what lunacy is this?

Hmm, good question...I thought it was obligatory...but that's not this thread. Maybe you should start a forum, for the benefit of those like me who don't know if it is or isn't. Brother Imam, I hope you feel peace about your dream. They are often reminders to us that we must be more aware of things. The trick is figuring out What to be more aware of. Angela |

Salam Just a quick note to say that I have posted comments regarding this thread under a new thread called "Derailing Threads That Beseech Our Help" I accidently posted in the "Introduction" section of the forums. I have requested it be moved to the "Comments & Compliants" section. I have done this out of respect for Brother Imam. Allah Hafiz, Sister Khadija Edited by Khadija1021 |

Assalamu Alaikum
Brother Imam, I don't think your dream really had anything to do with your beard per say because dreams are symbolic in nature. Your dream definitely speaks to me of your love for Islam and your fear of being cut off from it...wheather it be voluntary or not since Allah tells us that wherever we are in life, it is by His say. Your fear speaks for your love of Allah and the fear you have of losing Him in your life. MASHALLAH...Jazak Allah Khair...Inshallah you will live close to Him always. Ameen. Brother Community, this is not a debate about the obligatory nature of wearing a beard. If you would like to discuss that, I beseech you to start another thread. Allah Hafiz Sister Khadija Insha-Allah. Ameen.
Thanks sister Angela & Khadija for your effort! I even hear the shaitan in my mind sometimes, trying to trick me but I do not listen to it, I straight away ask Allah (S.W.T) for protection from the shaitan. Remember the shaitan attacks from All directions! and he does not give up easily (shaitan is our worst enemy), and also remember to ask Allah (S.W.T) for help & protection or else the shaitan will make our minds his work shop. May Allah (S.W.T) protects us All from the shaitan and guides us to the straight path. Ameen |

Ameen. Shaitaan said that he will deceive all except the sincerely devoted servants of Allah and also that he will engage them from the right and left and from behind and from their front and that Allah will not find most of them thankful. So never forget to be thankful to Allah no matter what happens. |
