 Sorry, I forgot...

I wear square hijab. I take the tail, tuck one in my shirt/abaya then pin the other tail to my shoulder...

I agree Hijab or not Niqab or not some men will always have the curiousity of the woman. I'm at a point now where I can care less what women wear because clothes dont make the person.

Be covered or wearing loose clothing does not garantee less attention.

I believe if you look nice and respectful, modest whether in tightly dressed or loose clothing, you'll still get some kind of attention from a guy.

I want to stress one point being covered doesn't garantee that men will not look or think about certain things, one thing about the west where some women wear little clothing or bikinis at the beach/pool actually leaves nothing to the imagination, all is revealed, men get accustomed to this and lose interest. Being covered at least leaves something to the imagination. I am sorry to say this but its true.

ican understand that in many western companies you'd have trouble commanding respect in asian clothes.the language of clothing is different because the culture is different..in some cultures you'd look positively regal in asian shalwar kameez.. but luckily its not against muslim codes of dress to wear a trouser suit if you are a woman. you can get suits with longer jackets and /or loose wide trousers.

Thank you Deus,

Exactly my point

If your clothes are loose and your hair is open, you will get less attention that covered hair and tight clothes. Tight clothes flaunt everything and atleast when hair is open, you can use it to hide something!!!

I know many girls who wear headscarfs and tight trousers, so tight infact, that bending over is a case of flashing to any passer by!!!

I on the other hand, as i stated or as many of you kindly pointed out contradicted myself(!!!) in this topic before, do not cover my hair but my clothes are loose fitted. if you are clear in you intentions to guys they are pretty much o.k with you. It is only when you allow them to flirt that they continue.

One point i have found is, that i would actually like to wear asian clothes to work, but i have a higher management position and find i don't get the same respect in asian clothes that i do in western clothes. Has antyone else had the same problem.

O Allah! Bless Muhammad and let his be the place close to you on the day of Resurrection.
