Hello, my name is Kim, and  I'll explain the title. Ever since I was little I always felt I would see the end time so to speak. It didn't scare me, I just knew as a child I would see it. I have always been a hard working good person, not perfect, but who is. Still nothing has ever worked for me or my family. My husband can say these same things. He is a catholic though not practicing. We have struggled to provided for our children never quite able to find the right path. We have been in spiritual turmoil our whole lives. I am labeled as being bi-polar. I don't believe this to be the case. I firmly believe we as a people are spiritually sick, and that my bi-polar is nothing more than a bad reaction to this. To make a drawn out story more simple I will sum it up by saying, about 2 months ago I picked up a copy of the quran I have in the house and started reading during one of my worse manic attacks, and for the first time felt peace. More than that really, something so great it has brought tears to my eyes more than once, but they are the good kind, full of hope.

I am currently seeking help and guidance down the road to becoming a good Muslim. I feel this is more than just the right path, it is the only one, that can give me that inner peace.

Thank you, I am sure I will. What I am looking for more right now is a better understanding of this way of life. That is how I see Islam and the religion. A way to live better and challenge myself to be better daily.I am happy to have found this forum as there is more involved for me when I read the Quran, I need help in fully understanding it.  I am also trying to participate in ramadan this year, but am weak on a couple things such as coffee.  I guess I am not fully participating, but I will use this month to read the Quran, and to start teaching myself the prayers.
