'The word "miracle" is often used to characterize any beneficial event that is statistically unlikely but not contrary to the laws of nature, such as surviving a natural disaster, or simply a wonderful occurrence, regardless of likelihood, such as a birth.'

Miracle is a very loose word.
Ive observed that every language is grounded in the culture of its origin, and translations do not always do justice in conveying the message across. - some people might get offended by this statement, but try translating a poem from your mother tongue into a second language you have command on. I cannot see the you-tube peice right now (at work currently). Miracles have different connotations in arabic from the top of my head I can think of three a) Moudjza b) karamaat c) istedraaj. All these being out of the ordinary phenomenon, still are not exactly same. |
