If I am a follower of Jesus(not the church, and not a religion), and not Muhammad, does that make me any less a child of God?  Did Muhammad teach something different than Jesus?

God created all of us and Mohammad did not teach something different than Jesus. The problem lies in the authenticity of old documents about their teachings. Some are true and some are false. The hard part is to sort out which is which...

Greetings aka,
Thanks for your response.  I am still confused.

Do muslims know what Jesus taught?

Since Qur'an is the last revelation of Allah,we have to follow that, similarly we have to follow our last messenger Prophet Muhammad S.A.W(pbuh).Allah mention several times in Qur'an- Ati Allah Ati rasool,I.e obey Allah and obey prophet.some of them r-Surah Al imran ch 3 v 43,Surah An Nisa ch 4 v 59,Surah Al Anfal ch 8 v 20 and v 45,etc.yes,we have to respect all our prophets but we have to follow Allah and teachings of our last prophet, some of them are-always sit while drinking water, don't b a bachelor throughout ur life, always love ur mother, paradise is at ur mother's feet, trust Allah but tie ur camel,it means trust Allah but do hard work also,in Meher if u don't have anything to give to ur wife, then u can even gift some verses of Qur'an to her, propogate even verse of Qur'an to others if u know it,these are some out of several teachings of prophet.prophet predicts the coming of 73 sects and said only those will go to paradise those who follow him,and his followers does not believe in making sects, means I m not shia, nor Sunni,I m Muslim.Allahfiz
