Assalamalecum wa rehmatullahi wa barakhatahu.prophet Muhammad(pbuh) once sent Muaadh to yemen city to call upon people of book to Islam.He said to him-"you are people among the people of book.tell them that there is no God besides Allah and worship only Allah and tell them i am the last messenger of Allah.if they accept this fact then tell them that Allah has enjoined them to 5 prayers each day and night.if they accept this fact then tell them that Allah had enjoined the rich people among them to share their wealth(zakah) to poor".Sahih Bukhari(7372)
