The person quoted a verse in regards to how a person is only responsible for informing and not enforcing it on anyone. But to quote it for spreading false information in an unjust use of quran.

When I said, too many Muslims know almost nothing about science and scientific method, I did not say most or majority or anything like it. To me, if 100 million or 10 million Muslims are denied a proper science education, that's too many. Even a million would be too many. But it's happening in too many Islamic countries. It will soon happen in northern Mali, unless the Islamists are stopped, and there's a good chance that they are. Otherwise, the boys learn the Quran and nothing else, and the girls learn nothing at all. Like under the Taliban. More and more parts of Pakistan get influenced by the Taliban too. Aren't you worried? When we talk about hazards of plastic and scientific input is a verse from the Quran, something strange is going on.

Can you think of majority Christian countries with millions of children getting brainwashed in religious schools? There are some South American countries where too many children are denied a proper education. There are problem kids in developed countries with bad parenting and they fail at school.

Muslims who care about their brothers and sisters around the world should do something about Saudi Arabia spreading money to spread dogmatic dark ages Islam, which btw sees Jihad as something very important.

Well Matt, I think we can agree that all children should have access to a quality education, and therefore "too many" are not getting it worldwide - even kids in developed countries.

Believe me, Abuayisha, I want more Muslims to study science. But it won't happen in poor Pakistan, when rich Saudi Arabia sends money for madrassas, where Islam is the only thing that is being taught. The same happens in many poor African countries. Those are the Muslims I'm talking about. They are being denied a proper education. This matter has being thoroughly investigated. There are numerous sources. Here's just one:

There are no studies that clearly prove that plastic bottles and mobile phones are dangerous. The precautionary principle is applied to infants with a still growing brain and mobile phones are not recommended for them. That's it.

Too many Muslims know almost nothing about science and scientific method. They are embarrassed, of course, and want to save face by quoting the Quran. I can understand this reaction.

Are you trying to tell me that the Quran says something about cell phones and plastic bottles?  Or are you interpreting?

Are you supposed to interpret or has that already been done?

I do not care if you do not agree. Holy Quran says:

 Wama Alaina illal balaghul mubin.

(Our job is  only to convey the message clearly.)

Deen is wishing well, I have wished well for my
Muslim brothers.
