and so what are your views?
I think everyone knows what is going on there. I weep when I see the pictures... the destruction, the deaths, the dying, the wounded... for me it is an inconceivable thing. |

Better for the people to have lived under the tyrannical rule of Assad patiently, rather than blood flowing into the streets, widows, orphans, and a chaotic uncertain future. Wallahu Mustaan.

Doesn't the Qur'an say to assist a brother in fighting oppresors?
Narated By Anas : Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Apostle! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others." - Sahih Bukhari Volume 003, Book 043, Hadith Number 624. Who fulfills the command of this Hadith? |

What we saw in the case of Iraq for example, was a dictator who used to be bad to his people, to those who opposed him. That dictator had an outside support, the US. The US used him in war against Iran. At a later stage, when he refused to listen to the US, he was taken out in the name of freedom for the people of Iraq. Today after loosing hundreds of thousands of precious lives, utter destruction of infrastructure and basic essentials in their country, they live in worse conditions and fear then ever since Genghis (Changhiz)Khan.
This would have never been repeated in Libya, but it did, Afghanistan, Pakistan, now Syria, next Iran. what's after that? Sometimes, when you have to choose between evils, lesser is the better choice. Hasan Edited by honeto - 13 August 2012 at 4:30pm |
