Muhammad 'The Prophet' DNA

First of all J1 is 24,000 years old as worked out by Semino and Rootsi. J* is over 30,000 years old. That would make Muhammad, and any other religious figures, real or invented, irrelevant to both J* and J1.

Arabians as Muhammad was, are high J1, 30% or more, so it is likely he was J1 but he could have been G, common in Arabians, or E1b1b also common as is J2. He could even have been R1a1 which is thousands of years old in the Arabian peninsula. The way to be sure is to test men descended through Muhammad's cousin on his paternal side, Ali who married his daughter. That bloke in Jordan would do, Abdullah, same name as Muhammad's father.

The Arabian Peninsula J1 project on FTDNA is just a lot of Arabian nonsense based on the Arabian religious ideas of origins and lineages. Shem, Noah and those figures are folklore. The Qahtan, Adnan tribes are similarly made up. I give the administrator full marks for his chart showing descent from Noah of Jews, True Arabs and Musta'ariba, naturalised or Ismaelite Arabs. Eber means from the other side of the Euphrates river which ties in with Jewish ideas of their origins.

I for one as a European J1 don't appreciate how both Jews and Arabians, recent ethnicities but claiming to go back only to 3,000 years have taken over a haplogroup which is over 24,000 years old. I don't appreciate the idea that I am descended from some vanished Arabian tribe that ended up in Europe as stated by the man probably born last century who administers the Arabian J1 project group. What would he know? He quotes the often mentioned estimate of J1 being 10,000 years old which is just crap to fit into the Eurocentric idea that certain haplogroups are Paleolithic or the result of the Neolithic movement of people from the Near East, which is unproven. Some White people want to believe all dark haired Europeans are really Arabs or Jews because they are not White or European. I prefer Rootsi and Semino's scholarship as to the age of J1. Arabian J1 dates back to 9,000 years old, and comes from the north probably Syria or Lebanon or Anatolia. Arabian J1 is distinguished by DYS388 of 17+ and DYS391 of 11+. The Galilee modal haplotype is found in all countries where Arabians from Yemen moved during the Islamic conquest of North Africa, the Levant and even Southern Europe.
Religious beliefs are one thing, real proof is another.
