Jummah/Friday prayers are not compulsory for women . . . however they may attend them if they wish.
Taariq bin Shihaab (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: More information on Friday Prayers: The Fiqh of Friday Prayers: http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?HD=1&ID=1001&CATE=4 For a muslim attending Friday Prayers, it is Mandatory (Wajib) to attend the Khutba from the beginning. As'sallamualaikum Sonia,
I am not sure about the Kaffara question - hopefully someone who knows will answer soon. If I come across anything, will post it. Regards, |
