We Alaykoum AsSalam wa rahmat Allah wa barakatuh
It is sad incident indeed, quite unfortunate that it happened I have to say I'm quite confused, and I really don't know which is the right way to react toward it, which would harm Islam/muslims more Criticism and sarcasm or just be quite and not stir the topic more They once said It's not the Arif ( Knowledgeable ) who knows good from bad It's the Arif who knows, which of the two goods is bad, and which of the two bads is good It is in deed times of fitna and greaqt tests, may God guide us and help us all through it remember us in your prayers AsSalam Alaykoum |

Salaam o alykum
I think Shaykh has lost his marbles in his second childhood and then what do you expect from some one promoted by Hosni who himself happens to be on the Zionist payroll...Get the drift? The Niqab is a choice whether it is required or not but in the civilized world the right to exercise personal choice ought to be protected as long as it is not hurtful or prohibited by any other legal statute ...Period. This is what is some thing called civil rights enjoyed in civilized societies unless Shaykh lives in society devoid of civilty BTW ...Does Shaykh's beard look the appropriate length or he is in violation of the sunnah? I was comparing both Shaykhs, I think Tantawi's out of spec... Edited by Sign*Reader - 09 October 2009 at 4:06pm |

AsSalam Alaykoum dear Even though I'm in no way fan of Mr. Mubarak or agree to his actions, I think islamically, we should not base make such accusations without clear indisputable evidence, not based on doubts, even though it may look clear And God know best AsSalam Alaykoum |

As Salamu Alaikum ,
Why did this learnt person, force her to remove her niqab, when she said clearly that she would not before strangers ? Is he not a non-mahram to her ? Moreover she must amongst them who consider wearing niqab is part of hijab ! How cud he force her ? And look at his other statement shared above my post by Br. Abu Ayisha. Its simple and known by all, even this muslimah {whom i salute} must be knowing that we can take off our niqab, even scarf before other female muslims ! Here i would like to share a hadith, which was shared at comments section of Islamonline Ziyad Ibn Hudair (Rahimahullah) said "Umar (Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Do you know what can destroy Islam?" I said: "No." He said: "It is destroyed by the mistakes of scholars, the argument of the hypocrites about the book (of Allah), and the opinions of the misguided leaders." (Mishkatul Masabih) |

ASSALAMUALAIKUM WAREHMAULLAH WABARAKAUHU..........
Honesly folks....i hav NEVER been a fan of dese ONLY-FOUND-IN-CAIRO scholars......i firmly believe dat ALLAH ALMIGHY has bestowed every man wid d basic sense 2 undersand religion.....n even Al-Azhar is no more dan a name....it has lost its grandeur n credibility.....dis may b wrong but i do hold this view......
Islam is 4 every Muslim.....n people like Shaykh should undrstnd dat they arent born wid d divine abilities of KNOWING-IT-ALL!!!!
I dont,in ANY way, mean 2 hurt those who cherish the Shaykh..
not finding his thoughts convincing is my personal opinion...people like him have never made a difference (IN MY VIEW)........they r 2 busy 2 embellish their outerselves with pearls which lose their shine as soon as one wears them.....
n its just not the Shaykh...honestly wat he did depicts the present state of the whole Muslim Ummah....deeper inside v all r same....
falling victims 2 mere phantasms....living our lives around the false colours n hues of the kaleidoscope v idealize that is ......the world v live in...
Precisely,ALL of us seek 2 make our outerselves beautiful because the world can see it.....but v dont beautify our innerselves because v know that its wat the WORLD CANT SEE.......but v 4get that......ITS WAT ALLAH CAN SEE!!!!!!
Talibah of ur prayers.....
Jazakallah...
