Salamu'alaikum Herjihad,

Of some fiction, i recommend you and your kids "The Little Prince" by Antoine De Saint-Exupery... if you haven't read it yet.

Assalamu Alaikum:

The Little Prince, one of my all time favorites.... note my signature....

It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, what is essential is invisible to the eye. (The Little Prince)

Hogwarts Girl
To the tune of Barbie Girl by Aqua

Hermione:
I'm a Hogwarts girl, in my Hogwarts world
I do magic, it's fantastic
Ghosts fly everywhere, pixies in my hair
A vacation from Muggle situations

Ron:
Wizards, witches, snakes, and snitches

Hermione:
I'm a hard-working girl
In this non-Muggle world
I do spells, I save Ron, I save Harry

Ron:
You're a know-it-all girl
And I almost could scream
Your obsession with homework is scary

Hermione:
You can laugh
At my wa-ays
But my O.W.L.S
Are better than yours
Oo-oo-oo
I'm a Hogwarts girl, in my Hogwarts world
I do magic, it's fantastic
Ghosts fly everywhere, pixies in my hair
A vacation from Muggle situations

Ron:
Wizards, witches, snakes, and snitches

Hermione:
And the homework!

Ron:
Spells and flying, Snape defying

Hermione:
S.P.E.W.! S.P.E.W.!

That was hilarious.  Thanks, sister.

"i don't think my brothers will give up their faith just because they enjoy yelling out spells.  They haven't read the HP books.  They don't like reading(2 of them don't know how to read).  I see nothing wrong with watching harry potter.  Its just for fun.  They know its not real.  My parents have tought them enough about islam for them to know its not real and they shouldn't believe it.

As for me reading Harry Potter.  I know better then to believe all the magic.  "Inshaallah"I will never put Harry potter before my deen. "inshallah" i will never go into witchcraft either.  like i said before i only read harry potter for fun and nothing else.  anyway thanks for the advice.  "

Nice advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amina, you're welcome and any time.    You're a big girl, old enough to be held accountable (indillah) for your own actions.   Just one more piece of advice if I may?   Add an "in sha allah" in front of both the "i will never statements."   Why??  Because the corrupt can corrupt you.  I grew up with a lot of well educated muslim girls in the States that will swear their lives on this.

Allah yahfadhik wa yaj'alik izzatan liddeen !

Salaam
