You may also see ISBN 978-1467883931. Understand that reading one or two books does not make you understand Islam. The best source is to read many Arabic texts on a particular subject.

Who will decide when a verse is as good as or better than what is in the Torah or Quran? If one cannot innovate you're stuck in the 7th century so the teaching only applies to that setting

Many Christian scholars agree that it is not the word of God entirely. It contains parts that might be word of God, but the overwhelming evidence that is the inconsistencies within suggests man's handiwork.

Well, the bible talks about Adam and Eve.
Modern science shows that they never existed in a literal sense. So at least in this respect the Bible (as well as the Quran) is wrong.
If God was almighty (is he in your eyes ?) he would not make this kind of error.

1. God did not author the book.
2.This book has 40 unknown authors.

That can be done empirically. The Qur'an contains practical guidance and evidences proved and explained by Muhammad Rasulullah. You just read the adulterated English/French/German translations and not what is contained in the Arabic language. You just hit the mark on guidance. Scientists try to explain to you not marvel at the form of water? Wrinkles of the body are corrected by using pillar gel. Why not a new skin totally?

You are following the footsteps of the followers of Muhammad Rasulullah who do not know about his mission. He never says that the Bible is not the Words of Allah the Lord of the universe. He says that he believes in all that Allah the Lord of the universe revealed to his Messengers and Prophets.
I have been reading the Torah/Biblke for almost 6 decades. The Book of Acts if read carefully is what the Qur'an and the sayings of the holy apostle.
So, there is no contention from those who know and understand.
