In the name of Allah , the Most Beneficient and the Most Merciful

Here are poems over the subject "Hijab", from Islamic poems.com. Hope these poems shall inspire muslimahs

Lift The Veil

Lift the Veil ! They say, "Oh poor girl you're so beautiful you know ! It's a shame that you, cover-up your beauty so ! "

She just smiles so graciously, responds reassuringly: "This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me.

This body that I have, no stranger has a right to see.

These long clothes and shawl I wear, ensure my modesty, Faith is more essential than fashion, Wouldn't you agree ?

" This hijab - This mark of piety !

Is an act of faith, the symbol, for all the world to see ! A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity !

So lift the veil from your heart, to see the heart of purity ! They tell her girl: "Don't you know this is the west and you are free ! You don't need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity !

" She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly: "See the billboards and the magazines, the lines in the checkout aisles; with their phoney painted faces, and their engrossed smiles.

With their sheer clothes and low-cut gowns they are really not for me !
You call it freedom - And I call it anarchy ! "

And This hijab - This mark of piety Is an act of faith, the symbol, for all the world to see !

A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity ! So lift the veil from your heart, to see the heart of purity !

A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity ! So lift the veil from your heart, to see the heart of purity !
So lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity !

Sisters in Islam

No longer shackled by the oppression
of miniskirts and see-thru shirts,
my sisters stand proud.

Covered by cloth and more so by conviction
submission to Allah, they stand apart from the crowd.

The taunts, the jeers, the stares, the leers
Never fazing or dissuading them from following the deen.

Real women they be, the epitome of femininity
strong, secure, complete human beings.

Not slaves to the world of fashion
which is always askin'
for women to dress in as less as they can.

Their hijab is for the sake of Allah
in imaan and taqwa
they refuse to be objectified by man.
Such are my sisters in Islam.

See Me, Hijabi

Educated, cultivated, motivated when I've prostrated to Allah, The Elevated. The Most High, SubhanAllah, Exalted be He.
Can't anything move, breath,or function without His Decree.

As He decreed that my nature should be one of modesty, seemly, humblely, lacking of any indecency.

Gave me a moral code of conduct in His Book, Al-Kitab.
And it says to keep my dignity that I should wear the hijab.

Cover my hair, cover my chest, cover both front, and behind.
Concealing the outer beauty to release the inner mind.

Unlike the heathen women, promisuous in their intimitacies,
frequent in their indecencies, which result in illegitimacies.

The outer rainments prescribed, help to control the actions,
proud to be hijabi and able to control my passions,

So if you see one on the street you can keep your words of dissatisfaction.

See Me, Hijabi, slave of Allah,
and not to Fashion

Am  a Muslim woman

I am a Muslim woman
Feel free to ask me why
When I walk,
I walk with dignity
When I speak
I do not lie

I am a Muslim woman
Not all of me you'll see
But what you should appreciate
Is that the choice I make is free

I'm not plagued with depression
I'm neither cheated nor abused
I don't envy other women
And I'm certainly not confused

Note, I speak perfect English
Et un petit peu de Francais aussi
I'm majoring in Linguistics
So you need not speak slowly

I run my own small business
Every cent I earn is mine
I drive my Chevy to school & work
And no, that's not a crime!

You often stare as I walk by
You don't understand my veil
But peace and power I have found
As I am equal to any male!

I am a Muslim woman
So please don't pity me
For God has guided me to truth
And now I'm finally free!

who I am is who you see,
women as free as free can be.
who you see is who I am,
Allah my Lord,my faith Islam.
My veil,my gown like flowing covers
Is what I wear to show all others
Life and beauty are not skin deep
Its in our hearts intentions we keep.
I walk out there yes not showing my hair
If that offends you then life is not fair.
I'm not a slave at home tied to the kitchen sink!
I too have a heart and a brain that can think.
And before you ask if I'm depressed
Abused alone or completely oppressed
Just know I'm happy and I feel more free
when men aren't gawking and flirting with me
I don't need to dress up for strangers
or put myself in this world dangers
I feel grand in my palace with plenty to do.
and I can by the way go outside too.
In case you were wondering if I slept in my gown
the answer is no and I don't sleep on the ground
I'm just like any other women you see
but covers and protects her modesty
I eat take-away food on the weekends
share my love with so many friends.
there's more to me than what your eyes see
so don't judge my choices before you know me.
to anyone out there who cant comprehend
I'm happy and free all the way to the end
Not everyone's life consists of hair do's
and this is the life I willingly choose.

Allah is Great
Allah Akbar
Z
CHANGE- Let's change the way we eat, the way we live and the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working, so it's on us to do what we gotta do to survive.
