Salam/Peace,

I have no idea too, but I did quick "search" on Mohammad Asad translation:

I got the following:

women -- found on 76 verses
woman -- found on 29 verses
girl -- found on 6 verses

In the quran there is a chapter (surah) called woman (An-Nisa), chapter 4 in the quran, it has 176 verses. If you want to read it here the link:

And also there is a chapter in the quran named "Marry / Maryam" (Prophet Jesus's Mother), chapter 19 in the Quran, it has 98 verses.

There is a website talking specifically about woman in the Quran:

Good work Semar ! Masha Allah.

By the way vze1sana, after replying that person, also add, that it does n't matter, the times word "women" mentioned in Qur'an. Just explain her as how Islam uplifts and grants women, dignity and honour. If possible check the last link shared by semar. Insha Allah, it may help you.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: All the descendants of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent."
