Ascending and Descending, Fixed place.

   My friend told me some time ago, that between so and so time, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and it is more like our dua will be accepted.

I have been trying to find were he got this idea from, that one Allah has a fixed place, and two that Allah descends up and down.

Can someone please enlighten me on this according to the traditional view scholars.

	As'Salamu Alaikum Sorry brother, cud not reply you soon. I did not go thru this thread earlier. Here is the hadith that shall answer your doubts It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: �Our Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains, and He says, �Who will call Me that I might answer him, who will ask of Me that I might give him, who will ask My forgiveness, that I might forgive him?�� ( Al-Bukhaari, Kitaab al-Tawheed, 6940; Muslim, Salaat al-Musaafireen, 1262) The meaning of this descent is that Allah Himself comes down to the lowest heaven in a real sense, as befits His Majesty, and no one knows how that is except Him. But to have faith in it is enough. We get know the importance of offering tahajjud at such times as well. Is n;t it ?
