Is it contradictory to quran ? Plz read

   I am alhamdolillah muslim and just need some help in understanding this concept. When Quran tells us only Allah knows the matters in the womb and if its a male or a female and no one besides Him. With the modern advances of medical technology like Ultrasound that tells the sex of the baby before birth so how to interpret it.

	I am not sure unless there is some verse presented here. It is true that Allah knows what is in the womb. But whether it is only He who knows, that i do not know. If some one will present some verse then it will be good to understand this matter. So for the time being, let us assume that Allah knows what is in the womb and we remain at that until something comes up.

	As'Salamu Alaikum WRWB, The verse is ,'And He knows that which is in the wombs" 31 :34 Sister, its true that the scientists know whats in it today . But can these scientists tell us if that child is fair or ugly, miserable or happy, whether it will have a long or a short life or its fate. Its not concerned with if the child is girl or boy. There's scientific answer too that may answer you, but i feel we need to have faith in Allah swt. But if you are to answer this to a non-muslim , i shall let it know you.

	And yes sister, these SCIENTISTS can tell who the child is only after certain period. And Allah swt knows before that.

	The verse is ,'And He knows that which is in the wombs" 31 :34. From the above verse, Can we conclude that only Allah knows that which is in womb. I hope not. But still, more information will be helpful. We should also remember that the unseen (Ghaib) is constantly changing into the seen (known or Haazir) by the will or plan of Allah.

	Assalamo Alaykum Wr Wb �Verily, All�h! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, All�h is All�Knower, All�Aware (of things). Quran 31:34 Although in the Quran it was not mentioned about the gender of the fetus but the meaning of �..knows that which is in the wombs� means Allah has known everything about that fetus, every detail as what the prophet had said in his Hadith: ��..When Allah wants to complete His creation, the angel says: O Rubb, male or female? Doomed ot blessed? What is his provision? What is his lifespan?..All of that is written while he is in the womb of his mother� Bukhari 077:594 This means that long before we were created, Allah has already decreed on us 4 things in our life; Our gender, our end, our provision and our lifespan. Although the doctors nowadays can already determine the gender of the baby in the womb by using ultrasonography but they can never give 100% assurance of the result. Edited by Truth_light24

	well, ultasounds can only be of benefit to tell the sex of a baby after a certain time and even then in a few cases it can be wrong, although I think the 4D ultrasound is probably a bit more better. So I don't see how it can take away that about Allah knowing if its a boy or girl. So perhaps it is better to go for a neutral colour scheme for the room
