Islam are very proud on his own history! A very few poeple respect these, or have not basic knowledge except that that hear from subjective newspapers, TV and suchlike. You have my compliment because you ask how to settle toward Dr. Sakr! Edited by Emin |

Thank you, I did end up asking him about that. He said there is only Islam, no separate denominations. He said that the separation happened 200 years after Mohammed, so it basically doesn't count. LOL.

I'm apologise to the moderator that I fall into conversation!
Chelle!!! It is best for you to ask Dr. Sakr: 'Are you a Sunni Muslim or Shi'a? |

One more quick question....I would like to know what is the proper word for "denomination" in Muslim? What I mean to say is, I would like to know whether Dr. Sakr is Sunni, Shi'a (sorry if I mispelled) or what, but I'm not sure how to phrase the question.

You don't have to but it is indeed very thoughtful of you. The scholar will appreciate that. Salaams BMZ Edited by BMZ |

One more question, which I forgot to ask Dr. Sakr on the phone. I am not Muslim, but should I wear a scarf or something over my head as a sign of respect when I go to interview him?
