Walikumassalam....
I am from india and at present i am staying in china, chengdu.
there are some muslim restaurants in chengdu where you can get halal chicken and also beef...
near masjid at tianfu square there is a meat shop..where you can get halal meat.
And kindly avoid french fries in mc donalds..as they use some meat oil. and also all meat items.

There are millions of Han Muslims living in China. Also there are so many Muslim Turks (Uyghurs) there. I think you could easily find a solution if you ask around a bit :) -Never ever ask the police btw-

Assalamu Alaikum,

Dear forum,

We came to Beijing on Feb 07 but soon my husband assignment will move to Chengdu. It was very hard to find Halal Beef in Supermarket but after went to every supermarket in Beijing, we found Halal Beef counter in Lotus Supermarket at Wudaokou and Chiashifa Supermarket at Shangdi.

We try our best to find Halal food in China but sometime we cant avoid it. My husband just converted to Moslem Oct 06 and he still learning abt Islam. He likes Beef/Chicken Burger so much. I try to make it myself rather buy it outside like in KFC or McD. I found Halal Beef but problem is the other like Mayonese and Bread.

What do you all think about this? What if I cant find Halal Beef/Chicken anymore in Chengdu (soon we'll move there)? My husband doesnt like Vegetables so much. Anyone live in Chengdu? Any suggestion will be very appreciated. Thks

Wasalamu Alaikum
