What a ridiculous statement.

In his scholarly duties he found out that the Bible is corrupted to the core and can't be trusted as the inerrant words of God. He lost his faith in the process.

If he, somehow, came in contact with the Holy Qur'an he will restore his faith in God and he will find the TRUTH.

He picks at the scriptures like picking at a scab.  He could easily do the very same thing to the Qur'an.   I definitely think you should invite him to take a look at the Qur'an and see what the outcome of that would be.

He is the definition of a true unbeliever.  One who rather than have faith will look for fault, and only serves the purposes of the devil.

Well if he finds discrepancies for example in two verse then he has to pcik those two verses to pinpoint the discrepancy. This will look like nit picking to people like you. He is scrutinising the Greek texts, not the English translations like you and me.

I, for one, admire his honesty. Imagine the wrath that he will receive from fundamentalist Christians. Unimaginable.

"avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."

I thnik it is important to discern the real enemy, and it is the one who sets those believers attempting to be followers of God and His ways, at odds with one another.
If you can discredit one religion, you can discredit them all.  It only leads people away from God and then the devil is achieving his purposes.
