Allah's help is always near sister, may Allah help you in this time of need and help. It is not your fault. It seems  your hsuband and his family need a class on Islam 101. How can they blame you and treat you like you have the fault. Hope they realize their mistake before Allah reminds them. Take care and get closer to Allah, comfort in His remembrance is the best help.

	Salam, First of all, if we follow the teaching of moderation, no need to give a babby gold nor silver. A new born babby doesn't need that stuff. Yes, a male can not wear gold, but silver is OK.
