Zalabia is a popular recipe in Palestinian cuisine because it produces sweet dumplings that can be quickly made with simple ingredients available in every home. Servings: 8
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- small pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of powdered milk
- 1/2 tablespoon of fresh yeast Heavy oil for frying
- 1 cup of warm water

Preparation:
STEP 1

In a large bowl, combine and put flour, salt and instant yeast.
STEP 2
Add powdered milk, then gradually add water and knead until a solid paste is formed.
STEP 3
Add the oil and continue kneading until it is well incorporated into the dough.

Leave the dough to rest for 15 minutes, taking care to cover it during this time.
STEP 5
After the dough has rested, cut the dough into equal balls, and roll into circular disks.
STEP 6
Heat the frying oil in a pan until hot, then fry the pieces of dough.
STEP 7
Leave the dough disks in the oil until they are golden brown on all sides, then remove from the oil and place them on kitchen paper to drain.
STEP 8
Serve ZalabIa hot on a serving plate, along with hot tea or coffee.
