The Decree of Allah
Why did Iblees tell Allah all of this? Because he knew that Allah's promise is the truth. When Allah told Iblees he was from those given respite he also knew that Allah doesn't break His promise. How about us when we make du`a' (supplication)? Do we feel that Allah doesn't break His promise to us? Are we as confident in our du`a' as Iblees, who is the enemy of Allah ? How is it possible that Iblees can be more confident in his du`a' than us? Iblees told Allah his plan: [Shaytan] said, "Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]." (Qur'an 7:16-17)

The Sacred Month of Rajab

Allah has given a special status to certain days, months, places, and people. The Prophets of God are the most honored among mankind; Makkah is the holiest of all cities; Ramadan is the best month; and the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr) is the greatest night of the year.

Allah says in the Qur'an:

"Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred [...]" (Qur'an, 9:36)

These four sacred months were mentioned by the Prophet during his farewell pilgrimage:

"O People! Time has gone back to how it was at the time Allah created the Heavens and the Earth. A year has twelve months, four of which are sacred, three consecutive, Dhul-Qi'dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab." (Bukhari)

Faith

Islam appears to me like a perfect work of architecture. All its parts are harmoniously conceived to complement and support each other; nothing is superfluous and nothing lacking; and the result is a structure of absolute balance and solid composure.

Muhammad Asad (1900 CE - 1992 CE) was born as Leopold Weiss in Livow, Austria (later Poland).  His most famous work is The Message of The Qur'an which was published in 1980.
