Surah 97

Al-Qadr (The Night of Decree)

﴿١﴾  إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
1.  Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Power.
﴿٢﴾  وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
2.  Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!
﴿٣﴾  لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
3.  The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
﴿٤﴾  تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
4.  The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.
﴿٥﴾  سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
5.  (That night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.
