Palestine: A Cry That Cannot Be Silenced

O Palestine,

ever since your Nakba of 1948, it has now been 78 years that you have borne pain, suffering, and tyranny at the hands of Zionist forces.

It saddens our hearts to witness your innocent sons and daughters being subjected to oppression, murder, imprisonment, and persecution.

To add salt to the injury, biased Western media have labelled your people with all sorts of obscure names.

Your freedom fighters are often wrongly labelled as terrorists.

In this modern age of technology, communication, and instant news sharing, old narratives are slowly being replaced by the truth of what is happening in occupied Palestine in real time.

The sympathy surrounding the Holocaust of the past is now slowly being replaced by a stronger global call to stop the killing and suffering in Gaza, and for Palestine to be liberated from occupation and oppression.

Thank God, the decades-old narratives promoted by a large section of the Western media are gradually losing their influence.

Peace-loving citizens around the world are now campaigning on behalf of the Palestinians.

The slogan "Free Palestine" is being heard in public forums, sports arenas, film festivals, university campuses, and even graduation ceremonies.

In its effort to silence the truth, those who hold power in Tel Aviv may spend millions, but such efforts are increasingly proving to be in vain.

In many parts of the world, the hoisting and display of the Palestinian flag and other Palestinian symbols are being prevented.

Though the authorities may try to hinder the flying of the Palestinian flag and silence the call for the liberation of Palestine,

the love and sympathy for the oppressed and downtrodden Palestinian people will remain ever present in the hearts and minds of the world community.

This solidarity will continue until Palestine gains its right to self-determination,

and its people are able to rule their rightful land in freedom, dignity, and peace.

Viva Palestine!
