For nearly three decades, IslamiCity has existed with a simple intention: to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible, support daily worship, and serve the global Ummah with sincerity, compassion, and justice.
As we reflect on the past year, we share this recap not to boast, but to acknowledge Allah's blessings and to transparently show how this platform has been used in service of the Ummah - especially at a time when truth itself is under threat.
"And whatever good you do - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."
(Qur'an 2:197)
Over the past year, IslamiCity served Muslims and seekers from over X countries, connecting a truly global Ummah across cultures, languages, and time zones.
From students and families to new Muslims and lifelong learners, IslamiCity remains a shared digital space for learning, reflection, and connection.
At the heart of IslamiCity's mission is the belief that Islamic knowledge should be accessible, reliable, and free from distortion.
This past year:
In an age of misinformation and oversimplification, this work aims to support clarity, depth, and balance in understanding Islam.
Faith is lived daily - through prayer, remembrance, and intention. IslamiCity's tools are designed to quietly support that practice, wherever Muslims may be.
This year:
All of these services are offered with a privacy-first approach, honoring user trust and focusing solely on service.
Standing for truth has never been without consequences.
IslamiCity experienced a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyberattack, designed to overwhelm servers with artificial traffic and disrupt access for genuine visitors worldwide. Our technical team worked around the clock to mitigate the attack and restore services. While most systems were stabilized, some intermittent disruptions continued.
We cannot say with certainty who was behind this attack. But we are clear about what IslamiCity stands for.
In recent months, IslamiCity has amplified calls for peace and raised awareness about the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. As part of this effort, IslamiCity has exclusively promoted and supported international screenings of the award-winning documentary The Evidence - a film that documents war crimes and bears witness to realities many would prefer to silence.
At the same time, Muslims in the United States and around the world are facing a disturbing rise in Islamophobia, censorship, and digital silencing. In this broader context, attacks on platforms that refuse to suppress truth are not isolated incidents - they are part of a wider struggle over memory, narrative, and justice.
Rather than deterring us, this attack strengthened our resolve.
For nearly 30 years, IslamiCity has served as a bridge - between faith and modern life, between knowledge and action, and between communities seeking understanding over division. Disruptions and intimidation do not change that mission.
As IslamiCity looks ahead, our responsibility extends beyond education and worship tools. In moments of profound injustice, preserving truth itself becomes an act of service.
Today, the genocide in Gaza is among the most documented atrocities in human history - and yet also one of the most aggressively erased. Eyewitness videos are removed, accounts are suspended, and critical evidence disappears daily. This digital destruction threatens justice, accountability, and the historical record.
In response, IslamiCity is supporting Evidence Archived - a global initiative created to preserve, authenticate, and safeguard digital evidence of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and mass atrocities.
The Gaza Archive represents Phase One of a long-term mission to ensure that truth cannot be erased. It brings together:
This work is built on a simple principle: evidence preserved today may become justice tomorrow.
For Palestinians - and especially the people of Gaza - the struggle for truth has become a struggle for survival.
Evidence Archived aims to:
When truth is safeguarded, justice becomes possible - and the world can no longer look away.
This archive is not just a project; it is a legacy.
Support helps enable:
Phase One requires sustained care and commitment, with a budget of $250,000. To date, $14,872.05 has been raised toward a $100,000 year-end goal, helping lay the foundation for this essential work.
"Do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is surely sinful."
(Qur'an 2:283)
We are deeply grateful to our community for their patience, trust, and support - especially during moments of challenge. We also acknowledge our donors and supporters, whose generosity makes this work possible.
As IslamiCity continues to serve the global Ummah - through knowledge, worship tools, truth-telling, and historical preservation - we remain committed to a simple principle:
Truth must survive. Justice must remain possible. And voices for justice cannot be silenced.
With your duʿāʾ, engagement, and support, IslamiCity will continue to uphold truth, compassion, and justice - no matter the obstacles.
