The largest and oldest Islamic Arts Festival in the United States returns to Houston! On November 15-16, 2025, the Islamic Arts Society will host its 12th Annual Islamic Arts Festival at the University of Houston Student Center South (4455 University Dr., Houston, TX 77204).
This year's festival will showcase more than 5,000 pieces of art from over 50 artists across the nation. From mesmerizing Arabic calligraphy and Ebru (water marbling) to painting, woodwork, henna, and live art demonstrations, the event celebrates the depth and diversity of Islamic artistic traditions.
Visitors will enjoy live Sufi music by Abdullah Kaymak, a Muslim comedy show, a film festival, and spoken word performances that bring faith, humor, and humanity together. Families can participate in interactive workshops, children's art activities, and storytelling sessions, while savoring delicious ethnic food from around the world.
More than an exhibition, the festival is a bridge between cultures. It welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs to experience how art can transcend differences and illuminate the shared values of beauty, harmony, and creativity.
Renowned artists such as Harouth Bastajian, Elinor Holland, Aisha Changezi, and Ism-i Nur will headline this year's celebration, offering rare opportunities to witness world-class artistry in person.
Admission is free for the art exhibits, and everyone is invited. The festival's spirit echoes the Qur'anic ideal that beauty and creativity are reflections of Divine artistry - signs for those who reflect.
