The Israeli government is reportedly compensating social media influencers up to $7,000 per post as part of a strategic initiative to shape public opinion, particularly in the United States. This campaign is managed under the project code-named the "Esther Project", coordinated by the firm Bridges Partners LLC.

Influencers engaged in this initiative are tasked with producing content that promotes pro-Israel narratives across various platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The content is designed to resonate with Gen Z audiences, aiming to bolster support for Israel amid ongoing international scrutiny.

In addition to human influencers, Israel has contracted Clock Tower X LLC, a firm led by a former Trump campaign manager, to develop AI-driven content tailored for younger demographics. This partnership, valued at $6 million, focuses on creating media that aligns with Israel's messaging objectives, utilizing platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly acknowledged the significance of social media in shaping public perception. In a recent meeting with U.S. influencers at Israel's Consulate in New York, Netanyahu referred to social media as "the most important weapon" to secure Israel's support base in the U.S..

In a related development, Google has reportedly decided to discontinue its involvement in Israel's social media campaign. The company had previously been engaged in promoting pro-Israel content but has now chosen to withdraw its support amid increasing scrutiny of the campaign's objectives and methods.

Israel's multifaceted approach, combining financial incentives for influencers with AI-generated content, underscores the growing role of digital platforms in international diplomacy and public relations. The effectiveness and ethical considerations of such strategies continue to be subjects of debate among policymakers and the public.
