It’s Not the End of the World, But It Could Be the End of Your Iman!! - Light Upon Light by IslamiCity- Episode 12
As wars rage across multiple countries, with Iran, Israel, and now the United States all involved in escalating conflict, the phrase “World War 3” isn’t just trending online—it’s haunting the hearts of millions.
Young people are scrolling through endless videos warning of nuclear strikes, Dajjal, the Mahdi, and the end of times. Telegram channels are filled with conspiracy theories. TikTok is flooded with dramatic music, red alerts, and apocalyptic predictions. Even casual conversations are now filled with fear and uncertainty.
And while it’s understandable—this fear, this urgency, this feeling that something big is happening—we need to pause and ask a more important question:
Even if it’s not the end of the world… is it becoming the end of our Iman?
The World Feels Like It’s Falling Apart
It’s true.
- Gaza is still bleeding.
- Iran has been attacked.
- The U.S. is now conducting airstrikes.
- Israel's aggression continues.
- Yemen, Sudan, Ukraine—chaos upon chaos.
- Planes are crashing. Economies are fragile. Leaders are threatening war.
You look around and feel like the world is on fire. And in many ways, it is.
But this isn’t the first time humanity has seen fear.
This isn’t the first time people thought the end was near.
The difference now?
We're letting panic take over our purpose.
Panic is Natural — But Not Islamic
Fear is human.
But panic is not Islamic.
Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not teach us to lose control when the signs of the Hour appeared. In fact, he said something profound:
“If the Hour (Day of Judgment) comes while one of you is planting a seedling, let him finish planting it.”
(Musnad Ahmad)
Even if the world is ending — keep doing good.
Keep living with intention.
Stay rooted in your Iman.
But today, instead of planting seeds, we’re scrolling panic.
Instead of praying, we’re panicking.
Instead of helping the Ummah, we’re hoarding fear.
We’re not just preparing for the end —
We’re being spiritually distracted by it.
“Is This Qiyamah?” — The Obsession With End-Times
Let’s be clear.
Yes, there are signs of the Hour.
Yes, the Prophet ﷺ told us about trials and wars.
But he never encouraged us to guess the timeline.
Allah says in Surah Al-A’raf (7:187):
“They ask you about the Hour—when will it take place? Say, ‘Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him.’”
We are not here to decode the divine clock.
We’re here to build our faith before time runs out.
Because for you and me, the real end of the world might be tonight, when our soul is taken.
The Real Danger? A Dead Heart in a Loud World
The problem isn't just war.
It's that Muslims are losing hope.
Losing focus.
Losing their sense of divine responsibility.
And worst of all — we’re getting desensitized.
- We cry over theories but not over injustice.
- We refresh for missile updates but miss Fajr.
- We share “end times” videos but ignore the Qur’an.
This is how Iman fades.
Not because the world ends —
But because we stop acting like believers while it’s still alive.
What Should We Do Right Now?
When the world is chaotic, the Prophet ﷺ gave us a blueprint.
Here’s how to hold onto your Iman in times like these:
1. Anchor Yourself in Prayer
No matter what’s going on — stick to your salah.
This is your rope to Allah.
Your calm in the storm.
Your protection in chaos.
2. Make Du’a for the Ummah
Don’t underestimate the power of your du’a.
Pray for the people in Gaza, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, everywhere.
It’s not “just a du’a.” It’s a spiritual weapon.
3. Avoid Spreading Panic
Stop forwarding unverified predictions.
Don’t become a vessel for fear.
Be a vessel for light.
4. Reconnect With the Qur’an
In times of uncertainty, let the words of Allah guide you.
Even one ayah a day can ground your soul.
5. Do One Act of Sincere Good Daily
Feed someone. Call your parents. Forgive someone.
You don’t need to “change the world.” You just need to keep your light alive in it.
Not the End of the World — But a Wake-Up Call
Let’s not get it twisted.
This isn’t a time to predict.
It’s a time to reflect.
This isn’t a time to panic.
It’s a time to pray.
The world may be nearing a new chapter.
But that doesn’t mean your faith has to crumble with it.
Maybe this isn’t the end.
But maybe it’s a divine reminder to return to Allah… before your time is up.
They may be preparing for war.
You? Prepare for the Akhirah.
Don’t scroll yourself into fear.
Don’t meme your way into apathy.
Don’t let your Iman die while your heart beats.
This is your moment to choose:
Fear or faith?
Conspiracy or conviction?
Doomscrolling or du’a?
Because it’s not the end of the world…
But it could be the end of your Iman.
