President Donald Trump has launched a new immigration scheme called the “Trump Card” — a $5 million pathway to U.S. residency and eventual citizenship.
Unveiled via a new website, TrumpCard.gov, the program invites ultra-wealthy individuals and businesses to register interest in exchange for what Trump calls “access to the greatest country in the world.”
The gold-coloured card, stamped with Trump’s image, promises the right to live and work in the U.S., bypassing traditional immigration hurdles. While details remain vague, the plan appears to replace the existing EB-5 visa system, which required a lower investment and focused on job creation in distressed areas.
Critics argue the move turns American citizenship into a luxury product, accessible only to the global elite. Supporters claim it’s a bold economic play to attract investment. Either way, Trump’s pitch is clear: if you’ve got millions, America has a fast lane just for you.
