How to Study Islam While Managing Family & Dunya

We all want Jannah-yet many of us approach it with ignorance, assuming good intentions alone will suffice.

But just as we wouldn't expect to become doctors without studying medicine, we cannot enter Paradise without striving to understand Allah's Deen.

The problem? We prioritize everything except Islamic knowledge:

• We spend hours cooking elaborate meals but claim we "don't have time" to study a single hadith.
• We memorize recipes, workout routines, and work deadlines-yet struggle to recall the pillars of salah.
• We exhaust ourselves for worldly responsibilities but approach the Quran at night with drowsy eyes.

Allah says: "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" (Quran 39:9) Ignorance isn't neutrality-it's a deficit we'll be accountable for.

Excuses vs. Solutions

1. "I'm Too Busy" - The Myth of Time A mother with four children, a full-time job, and household duties still finds time to breastfeed, cook, and meet deadlines. Why? Because she prioritizes what she deems essential.

If you can make time for gym sessions or skincare routines, you can dedicate 15 minutes daily to:

• Reading Quran with translation.
• Studying a hadith.
• Learning the rulings of fasting or salah.

2. "It's Too Hard" - Accessibility in the Digital Age Decades ago, seekers of knowledge traveled for months to access books. Today:

• Every major Islamic text is translated.
• Podcasts, apps, and online courses offer structured learning.
• Even Arabic-once a barrier-can be learned gradually.

The excuse of difficulty no longer holds.

The Obligation We Neglect

Every Muslim will be asked:

• Why didn't you learn the basics of your faith?
• Why didn't you know what invalidates your fast or prayer?

These aren't "advanced" topics-they're the ABCs of Islam, as essential as knowing how to feed your family. The Prophet (PBUH) warned: "Allah hates a person who is ignorant and content to remain so." (Tabarani)

A Call to Action

Start Small, Stay Consistent:

• Replace 30 minutes of social media with Islamic study.
• Join a weekly online class.

Just as you wouldn't skip feeding your child, don't neglect your soul's nourishment.

Make Dua for Barakah:

"O Allah! Grant me beneficial knowledge and make it a path to Your pleasure."

Jannah isn't earned by wishful thinking-it's earned by intentional effort. The Quran and Sunnah aren't luxuries; they're lifelines. Ask yourself today: "If I prioritize everything but Allah's Deen, what does that say about my true goal?"
