As we approach the sacred month of Ramadan, we are filled with anticipation for the spiritual journey that awaits us.
The IslamiCity team is pleased to announce the expected dates for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2025/1446 AH. Through careful astronomical calculations and the guidance of the Fiqh Council of North America and the European Council of Fatwa and Research, the following dates are anticipated for most of North America and Europe, insha'Allah:

Dar Al-Ifta, Egypt's official body for issuing religious edicts, announced Friday that Saturday, 1 March, will mark the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan in the Hijri year 1446.
The Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) of TĂĽrkiye has announced the start of Ramadan, with Muslims' first fasting day on Saturday, March 1st.
Similar announcements by relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen designated Saturday as Ramadan's first day.
Ramadan 2025 date has been officially confirmed as March 2, according to Morocco's Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Other countries follow their own moon sightings, and the crescent moon was not sighted in Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and several other countries across Asia making the first day of Ramadan March 2.
