Glenn Greenwald (1967) is an American journalist and former lawyer known for his work on civil liberties and government surveillance. He gained prominence in 2013 for publishing reports on U.S. and British surveillance programs, contributing to The Guardian's Pulitzer Prize win. Greenwald co-founded The Intercept in 2014, but left in 2020 to self-publish on Substack.
