Al Jazeera's senior political analyst Marwan Bishara highlights, the Biden administration cannot credibly mediate between its ally Israel and Hamas, which it deems a terrorist group.

He emphasizes that the ceasefire plan's ambiguity is a deliberate US strategy. Bishara points out that while Washington downplays Israel's public statements, the Israeli Prime Minister clearly aims to destroy Hamas and pro-long the war.

Despite President Biden's call to end the conflict, Israel continues its attacks on Gaza daily, with little pressure from the US to stop.
