In the Quran, God has expressed love and support for those people who display certain human qualities and not for those who only perform rituals. It is an interesting observation given the fact that a large number of Muslims put enormous importance and emphasis on rituals.

Although we preach everyone about the pillars of Islam, but the following
qualities must be our foundations. God Loves and supports those who are:

Muhseneen - Those who do good
Muttaqeen - Righteous
Sabereen - Those who are firm and steadfast/patient
Muqseteen - Those who judge in equity
Mutehereen - Those who keep themselves clean
Mutawakaleen - Those who put their trust in God
Tawabeen - Those who turn to God constantly
Yuqateloona - Those who fight in God�s cause in battle array
Mumenoon - Believers

Thanks, Brother. JazzakAllahKhayr. This is a good start of a list!

One of my many blood brothers was advising me today not to be angry because anger hurts us as individuals more than anyone else. I think he is right, except in the case of Islaamic anger.

But even then, there is a better way to feel this and deal with it. Rather than internalizing this anger, we dedicate it to Allah, The Most Glorious.

So is there one for "slow to anger"? Of course patient, Sabireen, has elements of this.
